A temperature probe measures the core heat inside an oven chamber without opening the door. It transmits the reading to the oven's control panel, allowing the chef to adjust settings without losing heat or disturbing the cooking process. The probe's sensor sits at the tip, while the length of the cable carries the signal back to the appliance's electronics, ensuring accurate monitoring even in deep or multi-deck ovens.
To use the probe, the operator inserts the tip into the food or into the oven cavity at the desired position. The cable is routed through the oven door seal or a dedicated port, keeping the chamber closed. The oven's display then shows the live temperature, letting the chef track progress without interrupting the bake or roast. Once cooking is complete, the probe is withdrawn and cleaned.
The LF Vetrotex probe is constructed with a 3000 mm cable, allowing it to reach the farthest corners of large commercial ovens. The cable is encased in Vetrotex, a fibreglass-based material that resists high temperatures and mechanical wear, ensuring durability in a busy kitchen environment.
This probe is designed to fit a wide range of professional ovens, including CUPPONE electric and gas pizza ovens, MODULAR convection ovens, TORNATI FORNI electric, gas and pizza ovens, and ZANUSSI electric, gas and proving ovens. The compatibility list covers models such as CUPPONE's EVOLUTION, MAX and RAFFAELLO series, MODULAR's 6T and FCG ranges, TORNATI FORNI's EUROPA and BABY-ROTOR ovens, and ZANUSSI's PME, PDE and PDG lines.
Cleaning is straightforward: the probe tip and cable can be wiped down with a damp cloth after each use. Avoid immersing the probe in water or using abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the sensor or the cable's protective coating. Regular inspection of the cable for signs of wear or fraying ensures consistent performance and safety.
