calibration 46/26 mbar
250V 16(4)A
A pressure switch regulates the water flow in professional dishwashers by monitoring the pressure in the system. When water enters the machine, the rising pressure activates the switch, signalling that the correct level has been reached. This triggers the heating element and detergent release, ensuring the wash cycle begins only when the chamber is properly filled. Without this control, the machine might start with insufficient water, leading to poor cleaning or damage to the heating element from running dry.
To use the switch, the operator loads the dishwasher, closes the door and selects the programme. The switch remains hidden inside the machine, automatically responding to water pressure without manual adjustment. Once the cycle starts, the switch continues to monitor pressure, allowing the machine to maintain the correct water level throughout the wash and rinse phases.
The pressure switch 46/26 is a direct replacement part, designed to fit specific models of commercial dishwashers, hood-type dishwashers, pan washers and glasswashers. It connects to the water inlet system and electrical controls of the appliance, requiring no additional components for installation.
This switch fits a range of professional equipment, including DESCO dishwashers such as the DS40D and DS50TS, DIHR models like the DS35-103M and hood-type HT11-014, ELFRAMO BE40 and BE50 series, EMMEPI LB40 and LBE34 ranges, KOMEL 8033 and F11 dishwashers, ROSINOX conveyor-type LRA250, and ZANUSSI washing machines including the LB8G series.
Installation involves disconnecting the power, removing the access panel, locating the existing pressure switch and replacing it with this unit. The switch is secured with a mounting bracket and connected to the water line and electrical terminals as per the original configuration. No calibration is required, as the switch is pre-set to the correct pressure range for the listed models.
The switch is housed in a durable casing, protecting the internal diaphragm and contacts from moisture and mechanical stress. This construction ensures consistent performance in the high-humidity environment of a commercial kitchen, where frequent use and exposure to detergents demand reliable components.
Cleaning and maintenance are limited to ensuring the water inlet is free from debris, as blockages can affect pressure readings. The switch itself requires no routine servicing, though it should be inspected during scheduled appliance maintenance to confirm secure connections and no signs of wear.
