Polypropylene GN gastro container HENDI 880623

A polypropylene lid that seals GN 1/3 gastronorm containers, keeping stored food protected during refrigeration, transport or holding. The lid rests directly on the rim of the container, creating a light but effective barrier against spills, contamination and evaporation. Because it is made of polypropylene, it remains rigid at low temperatures and does not absorb odours or stains from the food beneath it.

To use, place the lid on the filled container so that the flat flange aligns with the container's rim. No clamps or clips are needed; the weight of the lid and the close fit are enough to maintain a steady seal. When the container is moved, the lid stays in place, preventing sloshing and maintaining food safety standards.

The lid measures 325 mm by 176 mm, matching the standard GN 1/3 footprint. It is compatible with any polypropylene gastronorm container of the same size, regardless of depth, and also fits HACCP-approved food-storage containers from other manufacturers that follow the same gastronorm sizing.

Polypropylene construction means the lid can be washed in commercial dishwashers without warping or losing its shape. It is lightweight, so stacking multiple lidded containers remains easy, and it does not add significant weight to the overall load.
