A platform trolley moves heavy or bulky loads across a kitchen without lifting. Four castors carry the weight on a flat deck, letting one person push or pull the trolley instead of carrying trays, sacks or stacked crates. The castors swivel to steer around corners and doorways, while a pushing handle gives control over direction and speed. This method keeps the load stable, reduces strain on staff and speeds up transfers between storage, prep and service areas.

The operator loads the deck up to the containment bar, which stops items sliding off. A welded stainless steel frame and deck spread the weight evenly across the castors, preventing sag or twist under the rated 250 kg. The pushing handle is positioned at a comfortable height for most users, so the trolley can be guided with one hand while the other steadies the load if needed. Non-marking bumpers protect walls and door frames from knocks during transit.

Construction is fully welded AISI 304 stainless steel, chosen for strength and resistance to corrosion in wet or acidic environments. The deck surface is smooth and seamless, making it easy to slide loads on and off without snagging. Two fixed castors at one end provide a pivot point, while the other two swivel for manoeuvrability. The containment bar runs along the edges of the deck, creating a low lip that keeps items in place without adding height.

The trolley's footprint of 1008 by 610 mm fits through standard kitchen doorways and service lifts, while the 960 mm height allows it to pass under most worktops and shelves. At 20 kg, the unit can be lifted by two people for repositioning or storage when not in use. Cleaning is straightforward: the stainless steel surface can be wiped down with a damp cloth and sanitiser, and the seamless welds prevent dirt from collecting in crevices. The castors and bumpers are designed to be non-absorbent, so they do not trap moisture or debris. Optional upgrades include two additional castors with brake kits, which can be fitted to improve stability when the trolley is stationary or loaded unevenly.
