These tableware transport trolleys are designed for safe, convenient, and efficient transportation of plates in professional kitchens, canteens, hotels, banquet halls, and catering services.
Number of plate stacks: 6
Number of plates per stack: 50
A plate trolley moves large quantities of crockery between the wash-up area and the servery without carrying each piece by hand. The unit stands on four wheels: two fixed for straight tracking and two swivelling with brakes for tight turns. This arrangement keeps the trolley stable under full load yet easy to steer through doorways and around corners.
The trolley holds six vertical stacks, each stack accepting up to fifty plates. Movable polyethylene guards slide in or out to match the diameter of the plates, from small side plates to large dinner plates. Once the guards are set, the plates rest securely between them, preventing lateral movement and reducing the risk of chips or breakage while the trolley is in motion.
Loading begins by adjusting the guards to the plate size. Plates are then placed one by one into each stack until the stack reaches the required count. The vinyl cover is drawn over the top once loading is complete, shielding the crockery from dust and splashes during transit or while stored between services. When the trolley arrives at its destination, the cover is removed and the plates are unloaded stack by stack.
The entire frame and guards are moulded from impact-resistant polyethylene. This material absorbs knocks that would dent or crack metal, protecting both the trolley and the crockery inside. The polyethylene surface is non-porous and easy to wipe clean, helping to maintain kitchen hygiene standards.
Four wheels support the trolley: two large fixed wheels at the rear and two smaller swivel castors with brakes at the front. The wheels are designed to roll smoothly over uneven floors and thresholds without leaving marks, even when the trolley is fully loaded.
The footprint of 930 mm by 720 mm fits through standard kitchen doorways and service corridors. The height of 785 mm keeps the centre of gravity low, reducing the risk of tipping when the trolley is pushed or when it turns. The capacity of six stacks of fifty plates each allows up to three hundred plates to be moved in a single trip, cutting the time and labour needed to reset a dining room between services.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the polyethylene frame and guards with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The vinyl cover can be removed and washed separately. No lubrication or adjustment of the wheels is required beyond occasional checks to ensure they turn freely.
The trolley is supplied with a vinyl dust cover included. No other variants or accessories are specified for this model.
