A plastic corner guard protects the vulnerable edges of stainless-steel or laminate worktops where two surfaces meet at a right angle. In a busy kitchen, trolleys, trays and mobile racks constantly pass close to the work surface; a single knock can chip the laminate, dent the steel or expose the substrate. The guard is a simple extrusion of resilient plastic that snaps over the corner, absorbing the force of any impact and spreading it along the length of the profile. Because the guard is fitted without adhesive or screws, it can be removed for cleaning or replaced without damaging the worktop beneath.
The guard is supplied as a single straight length. The operator measures the corner, cuts the profile to size with a fine-tooth saw or a sharp utility knife, and presses it into place. Once fitted, the guard remains in position through a slight interference fit, gripping the corner without tools. No drilling, riveting or bonding is required, so the worktop surface is left intact and the guard can be repositioned if the layout of the kitchen changes.
Made from a durable plastic that resists oils, detergents and temperatures up to the level of a hot tap, the guard is designed for the wet, greasy environment of a professional kitchen. The material does not corrode, rust or discolour, and it can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or sanitised with standard kitchen sprays. Over time, the plastic may become scratched or scuffed, but it can be replaced quickly and inexpensively without disrupting service.
This corner guard is part of the LF range of small kitchen accessories, used alongside edge strips, bump rails and kick-plate protectors to extend the life of work surfaces and reduce maintenance costs in commercial catering environments.
