An electric pasta cooker boils water in a sealed stainless steel basin, transferring heat from an incoloy element directly into the water. The circulating hot water cooks pasta evenly without scorching, while a safety thermostat prevents overheating and maintains the set temperature between 30 °C and 110 °C.
To operate, fill the internal container to the marked level, plug the unit into a 230 V circuit and set the desired temperature. Once the water reaches the target, lower the basket of raw pasta into the basin. The hot water cooks the pasta through, and the operator lifts the basket to drain and serve. A safety thermostat cuts power if the temperature exceeds the safe range, protecting both the appliance and the food.
The entire unit is built from stainless steel: AISI 304 for the outer body and AISI 430 for the water basin. The heating element is incoloy 820, chosen for its resistance to corrosion in hot water. The internal container measures 240 mm by 300 mm by 200 mm, while the basket is 110 mm by 235 mm by 100 mm, allowing it to fit neatly inside.
A 3.4 kW power rating means the cooker draws a steady load on a dedicated 230 V circuit, typical for professional kitchen equipment. The 12 kg weight keeps the unit stable on a worktop without needing permanent fixing, and the 270 mm by 420 mm footprint fits into most counter spaces.
Cleaning involves emptying the basin, wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and descaling the incoloy element periodically to maintain efficiency. The basket can be washed separately in a sink or dishwasher.
The Casselin CCAP1G is a single-basket model designed for small to medium service volumes.
