ring thickness 1.78 mm - internal ø 5.28 mm
An O-ring is a circular seal that compresses between two surfaces to prevent leaks of water, steam or cleaning chemicals. In professional coffee machines, dishwashers and glasswashers it sits around boiler ports, solenoid valves and pump heads, where it must withstand repeated heating and cooling cycles without hardening or cracking. EPDM rubber is chosen for its resistance to hot water, detergents and steam, making it the standard material for wet-side seals in catering equipment.
To replace the O-ring, the operator isolates the appliance from the water and power supplies, then disassembles the component that houses the seal. The old ring is removed, the groove cleaned, and the new O-ring pressed into place. Once reassembled, the appliance is tested for leaks under normal operating pressure before returning to service.
This O-ring is manufactured from EPDM rubber, a synthetic elastomer that remains flexible across the temperature range found in commercial coffee and dishwashing machines. The material does not absorb water or swell, so the seal retains its original dimensions and continues to prevent leaks throughout the service life of the appliance.
The O-ring fits a wide range of professional catering equipment from Casadio, Cimbali, Colged, Delonghi, Desco, Dihr, Dynamic, Elettrobar, Faema, Fagor, Giorik, Lamber, MBM, Necta Vending, Rancilio, Saeco and Univerbar. Specific models are listed in the product reference, ensuring compatibility with the most common coffee machines, dishwashers, glasswashers and mixers used in British commercial kitchens and cafés.
Cleaning is limited to the removal of any residue from the groove before installation; the EPDM material itself requires no maintenance beyond periodic inspection for wear or deformation. When the seal shows signs of flattening or cracking, it is replaced to maintain leak-free operation.
This spare part is categorised under seals and gaskets for professional catering equipment, ensuring it is found alongside other maintenance components for the same appliances.
