A motor assembly drives the convection fan that circulates hot air inside a professional oven. Without it, heat collects at the top and leaves the lower shelves undercooked. The fan spreads the temperature evenly, so every tray bakes or roasts at the same rate. This motor is built to run continuously under high heat and grease, turning the fan blade that forces air across the heating elements and around the oven cavity.
To replace the motor, the operator first isolates the oven from the power supply. The back panel is removed, exposing the fan housing. The old motor is unbolted from its bracket, the wiring disconnected, and the new motor fitted in the same position. The wiring is reconnected, the back panel refitted, and power restored. Once running, the motor should turn smoothly without vibration or noise.
The motor assembly is a direct replacement for the original part in Olympia CT80 ovens. It fits the mounting bracket and wiring loom without modification, ensuring the fan resumes its role of moving hot air throughout the oven cavity.
Regular inspection of the motor and fan blade helps prevent grease build-up, which can unbalance the assembly and shorten its life. Cleaning involves wiping the motor housing and fan with a damp cloth, avoiding water ingress into the motor itself. The oven's manual gives the recommended cleaning intervals for the fan and motor area.
This part is listed in the LF spare-parts catalogue under the Olympia CT80 range.
