A convection steam oven cooks food by circulating hot air with a fan while injecting bursts of steam. The fan spreads heat evenly around the cavity, preventing cold spots and speeding up cooking. Steam is released at set intervals to keep food moist, stopping it from drying out or losing texture. This method combines the crisping effect of dry heat with the tenderness of steam, giving results that neither could achieve alone.
The motherboard is the control centre of the oven. It reads signals from the front panel and internal sensors, then activates the heating elements, steam generator and fan motor in the correct sequence. When a programme is selected, the board switches between convection, steam or combination modes automatically, adjusting temperature, humidity and timing without manual input. It ensures the oven follows the chosen cycle precisely, so each dish is cooked as intended.
To replace the motherboard, the oven must first be disconnected from the power supply. The outer panels are removed to reach the control compartment, where the old board is unplugged from the wiring harness. The new board is fitted in the same position, reconnected to the harness and secured with the original fixings. Once the oven is reassembled, it is tested to confirm all functions operate correctly.
This motherboard is designed for PIRON convection steam oven models G5D, G7D and G12D. It is a direct replacement for article SCH30005 and carries the LF brand marking. No modification is required for installation.
