A microswitch is a compact electromechanical device that opens or closes an electrical circuit when a small physical force is applied to its actuator. In professional catering equipment, it serves as a safety interlock or process trigger: the door of a combi oven presses the lever, the switch changes state, and the control programme proceeds or halts. The method gives instant, repeatable switching with minimal wear, because the internal snap-action mechanism moves the contacts at a fixed speed regardless of how slowly the operator closes the door or presses the button.
To use the switch, the technician disconnects the appliance from the power supply, removes the access panel, and unplugs the wiring harness from the old switch. The new microswitch is positioned so that its actuator aligns with the moving part of the appliance—door latch, push-button or cam. Once secured with the mounting screw, the harness is reconnected and the appliance is reassembled. The switch then responds to the same mechanical movement as the original, restoring the appliance's safety or control sequence.
The LF microswitch Rold VRSRB1AA1 is manufactured to match the exact dimensions and electrical ratings of the Primax VRSR21AA1 and Rold equivalents, ensuring direct replacement without modification. It fits appliances of these two brands, where it maintains the original safety and operational logic of the equipment.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the external actuator with a dry cloth; solvents or compressed air can damage the internal mechanism. No lubrication or adjustment is required during service.
The product is listed in the catering-equipment spares catalogue under microswitches for Primax and Rold appliances.
