Lip seal LF L1301002

A lip seal creates a sliding, pressure-tight barrier between the piston and cylinder of an espresso machine's brew group. The flexible ring presses against the metal wall, preventing water and steam from leaking past while allowing the piston to move smoothly. Without this seal, the machine cannot build the pressure needed to extract coffee at the correct rate and temperature.

The operator removes the old seal, cleans the groove, and presses the new one into place with a twisting motion until it sits evenly. No tools are required beyond a cloth to wipe away residue. Once fitted, the seal should be checked for leaks during the first extraction cycle.

This LF seal is moulded in a synthetic elastomer sized 23 mm outside diameter, 15 mm inside diameter and 5 mm cross-section. The dimensions match the groove cut into the brew head of the listed espresso machines, ensuring a snug fit without distortion.
