| NOTES | 10 Lava rocks |
A lava rock grill uses natural volcanic stones that are heated by a gas burner. The stones retain and evenly distribute heat, similar to charcoal. This simulates the operation of an open flame grill. The lava rock grill provides a more authentic grilling flavor, as the stones mimic the heat of coals. When fat drips onto the hot stones, a light smoke is produced, giving the food a smoky, aromatic taste—similar to traditional outdoor grilling.
The CASTA E7/BS2BB is a lavastone ribbed gas griddle designed for professional use. This type of griddle cooks food using heat radiated from heated lava rocks, which sit above gas burners. The burners provide the heat source, warming the lava rocks. The rocks then radiate this heat upwards to cook the food placed on the griddle surface.
The cooking surface is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, featuring a rounded top edge for ease of use. The grill grate is made of stainless steel and is shaped in a V-profile, designed to channel cooking fats away. A steel grate specifically for grilling fish can be supplied on request. The front of the unit incorporates a grease runner with a drainage hole, leading to a removable fat collection drawer.
This griddle is equipped with gas burners, each featuring two flame tubes. For safety and control, it includes a gas safety tap and a thermocouple. Ignition is achieved via a piezoelectric system. The temperature is regulated using minimum and maximum settings, controlled by knobs made from heat-resistant material.
The unit stands on adjustable legs made of AISI 304 18/10 stainless steel, allowing for levelling on uneven surfaces. It is certified according to European Union CE safety and quality standards.
The griddle includes 10 lava rocks. Its dimensions are 400 mm in length, 700 mm in width, and 275 mm in height. The power rating is 16 kW.
