A fast-food worktop creates an additional stainless steel surface where kitchen staff can assemble orders, portion ingredients or stage plated dishes without crowding the main work line. The unit stands on its own legs, ready to slot between existing counters or against a wall wherever extra temporary space is needed during peak service.
The worktop itself is a flat, seamless sheet of stainless steel that resists heat, moisture and food acids. It has no built-in sinks, taps or hobs, so it remains a clean, uncluttered area that can be wiped down quickly between tasks. Because it is freestanding, it can be moved to different stations as the day's menu changes—next to the fryer for plating chips, beside the salad station for assembling wraps, or near the pass for final garnishing.
To use the worktop, staff simply place it on a level floor in the desired location. There are no controls to set or programmes to select; the surface is always ready for immediate use. Ingredients, utensils or finished plates are placed directly on the steel, and the raised height of 900 mm matches standard counter levels, so staff can work without bending or reaching.
The construction is a welded stainless steel frame with adjustable feet to compensate for uneven floors. The top is a single sheet of the same material, giving a smooth, continuous surface that meets food-safety standards. The footprint of 1200 mm by 750 mm provides enough room for multiple orders to be staged at once, while the depth of 750 mm allows staff to stand close without overreaching.
Cleaning is straightforward: after service, the surface is wiped with a sanitising cloth and left to air-dry. There are no crevices, joints or moving parts to trap debris, so daily upkeep takes only a few minutes.
The RAS105 is listed in the BHS catalogue under additional work surfaces for fast-food and quick-service operations.
