An induction hob transfers energy directly into induction-compatible cookware without heating the ceramic surface itself. A high-frequency electromagnetic field induces eddy currents in the base of the pan; these currents generate heat only where the pan touches the ceramic. The rest of the surface stays cool, reducing ambient heat in the kitchen and cutting energy use by half compared with gas or electric resistance hobs.

To operate the MAGISTRA PLUS 900, place induction-ready pans on the sealed 6 mm ceramic top. Select one of six power levels for each of the two 5 kW inductors using the front-panel controls. An indicator light confirms the hob is active. When the pan is removed, the corresponding zone deactivates automatically, stopping energy flow and leaving the surface safe to touch.

The hob is built on a 1 mm AISI 18/10 stainless-steel worktop that is watertight sealed to the ceramic. The 400 mm depth and 900 mm width fit standard worktop cut-outs, while the 850 mm height aligns with adjacent counter equipment. A total weight of 100 kg requires a sturdy work surface and may need two people to position.

The 400 V three-phase supply delivers the 10 kW total power across two independent 5 kW circuits, allowing simultaneous cooking at different power levels. The sealed ceramic top wipes clean with a damp cloth; no grooves or seams trap food or liquid. The stainless-steel frame resists corrosion and can be sanitised with standard kitchen cleaners.
