Induction oven with open stand
An induction cooker transfers energy directly into induction-compatible pans and pots without heating the hob itself. A high-frequency electromagnetic field generates eddy currents in the base of the pan, turning it into the heat source. The hob surface stays cool where no pan is placed, cutting heat waste and reducing the kitchen's ambient temperature. Energy is only used when and where a pan is in contact, making induction faster and more efficient than gas or electric hobs.
The MBM MAGISTRA PLUS 700 induction cooker has four separate induction zones, each rated at 3.5 kW. Each zone can be set to one of six power levels, allowing precise control over simmering, boiling or searing. An indicator light shows when a zone is active, preventing accidental activation and helping staff monitor the hob at a glance. The cooker is designed for continuous use in busy kitchens, with no pre-heating required and instant response to power changes.
To use the cooker, place an induction-compatible pan on the desired zone. Select the power level using the zone's control; the hob will only activate when a pan is detected. Adjust the power as needed during cooking. When finished, remove the pan and the zone deactivates automatically, stopping energy use and leaving the surface cool to the touch. The cooker can be left on standby between services, ready for immediate use.
The unit is constructed from stainless steel, with a ceramic glass cooking surface that is easy to clean and resistant to thermal shock. The housing is designed for durability in a professional environment, with a worktop height that matches standard kitchen counters. The 700 mm width allows the cooker to fit into most kitchen layouts without requiring custom cabinetry.
Controls consist of touch-sensitive buttons for each zone, allowing individual power level selection. The buttons are positioned for easy access during cooking, reducing the need to reach across hot pans. Each zone's indicator light provides clear feedback on its status, helping staff manage multiple dishes simultaneously.
The 14 kW total power rating requires a 400 V 3-phase electrical supply, typical of professional kitchens. This ensures the cooker can deliver full power to all four zones simultaneously without overloading a single-phase circuit. The 76 kg weight indicates a sturdy, stable unit that does not require additional anchoring but should be moved with care, ideally by two people or with a trolley. The 700x714x850 mm dimensions provide a compact footprint for a four-zone hob, fitting into standard kitchen worktop spaces while leaving room for food preparation on either side.
Cleaning is straightforward: after use, allow the surface to cool, then wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The ceramic glass does not absorb spills, so food and grease can be removed without scrubbing. The stainless steel housing can be cleaned with standard kitchen cleaning products, avoiding abrasive pads that could scratch the surface. Regular cleaning prevents build-up of food debris, which could interfere with the induction process or damage the glass over time.
The MAGISTRA PLUS 700 is a single model with no variants. It is categorised under professional induction hobs in the MBM catering equipment range.
