with faston ø 2.4 mm for ignition
with faston ø 4 mm for electrode
An ignition lead carries the spark that lights the gas burner in professional catering appliances. A small electrical pulse travels along the insulated wire to the faston connector at the tip, where it jumps a gap and creates the spark. This method is used on gas fryers, grills, hobs, boiling pans and pasta cookers because it is simple, immediate and does not rely on external power once the appliance is running.
To use the lead, the operator connects the faston end to the ignition electrode inside the appliance and routes the cable to the ignition module. When the gas valve is opened and the ignition button pressed, the pulse travels down the lead and produces the spark that lights the burner. The sequence takes less than a second and is repeated each time the burner is turned on.
The lead is a single-core cable one metre long, terminated with a 2.4 mm faston connector. Its length allows it to reach the electrode from the ignition module without strain, while the faston size matches the standard terminals used in commercial gas equipment.
Compatibility covers gas appliances from AMBACH, DEXION, EMMEPI, GICO, GIGA, GIORIK, HOBART, MBM, SILKO, TECNOINOX, WHIRLPOOL and ZANUSSI. The lead is listed in the spares section of the catalogue.
