The KASTEL KV 50/21 is designed for environments needing a steady supply of ice. Water freezes in layers on a finger-shaped evaporator, which handles hard water and limescale without reduced performance. Once cubes form, a brief heating cycle releases them into the storage container, allowing continuous production without manual intervention.
Setup requires only a water connection and a standard 230 V outlet. The electronic controls start automatically, with a sensor pausing production when the 21 kg container fills. Each cycle produces a set number of cubes, repeating until the daily 50 kg target is reached. A water-cooling system helps maintain stable compressor temperatures for reliable output.
The unit's stainless steel construction ensures durability and simple cleaning. Its dimensions—500 mm wide, 585 mm deep, and 880 mm high—fit under most counters or in tight spaces. At 51 kg, it can be moved by two people. The refrigerant R290 provides efficient cooling with minimal environmental impact.
A single power switch and indicator light on the control panel manage operation. The 230 V requirement aligns with standard UK commercial power, avoiding the need for special wiring.
With a 50 kg daily capacity, the machine supports busy bars or breakfast services without shortages. The 21 kg storage holds enough cubes for peak demand. Its 0.31 kW power draw balances energy efficiency with consistent output.
Maintenance involves wiping surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Periodic descaling of the water system prevents limescale build-up on the evaporator. The machine pauses during cleaning, avoiding service interruptions.
Two models are offered: a standard air-cooled version and a water-cooled option, which costs an additional £50. The water-cooled model suits spaces with temperature fluctuations or nearby heat sources.
This unit is tailored for professional use in bars, restaurants, hotels, and event services.
