The KV series hollow ice cube makers, made entirely of stainless steel, have an incorporated storage space and boast a significant production capacity.

Hollow ice cube 21 gr
An ice maker that produces dense, slow-melting cubes continuously for bars, restaurants and hotels. Each cycle yields fifteen well-shaped cubes that hold their form in drinks and displays, ensuring presentation remains crisp throughout service.
The machine draws water into a finger evaporator, where refrigerant R290 circulates inside sealed coils. As the refrigerant evaporates, it absorbs heat from the water, freezing it into solid cubes. The evaporator's design resists scale build-up, allowing reliable operation even with hard water. Once the cubes reach the set thickness, a heating element briefly warms the evaporator, loosening the cubes so they drop into the storage container below.
To start production, fill the internal reservoir, plug the unit into a 230 V single-phase supply and switch on. The electronic control system manages each freezing cycle automatically, releasing cubes into the 7 kg container as they form. When the container is full, the machine pauses until cubes are removed, then resumes without further intervention. A transparent front panel lets staff monitor the fill level without opening the door.
The cabinet is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for durability and ease of cleaning in busy kitchens. The exterior remains cool to the touch, reducing condensation and making the unit safe to position near worktops or under shelves. Adjustable feet allow levelling on uneven floors, while the compact footprint of 340 mm width fits into tight spaces where larger machines would not.
Controls consist of a single power switch and indicator lights that show when the machine is running and when the container is full. No additional settings are required; the system optimises cycle length and defrost timing internally.
A 0.2 kW power rating means the unit draws minimal current, suitable for circuits shared with other light catering equipment. The 30 kg weight allows two staff to reposition the machine without a trolley, yet it remains stable during operation. The refrigerant R290 is a hydrocarbon with low global warming potential, meeting current environmental standards.
Cleaning involves emptying the container, wiping the interior with a damp cloth and rinsing the water reservoir weekly to prevent mineral deposits. The evaporator's self-defrosting design reduces manual descaling, though periodic inspection ensures optimal performance.
Two variants are available: the standard air-cooled model and a water-cooled version that adds a connection for mains water to improve efficiency in hot environments.
The KV 25/7 is categorised under professional ice makers for daily use, positioned for establishments that require consistent cube quality without frequent maintenance.
