The KS series ice makers, made entirely of stainless steel, stand out for their innovative mechanical design.
Cooling system - water or air
Granular ice
An ice maker that produces granular ice continuously keeps drinks chilled and food displays fresh without manual filling. The KS150 draws water into a freezing cylinder where a refrigeration circuit cools the surface below zero. As the water contacts the cylinder, it freezes into small grains that are then scraped off and pushed into a storage container. The residual water in each grain keeps the ice soft enough to mould around ingredients yet firm enough to last through service.
To start the KS150, connect the water supply and plug the unit into a 230 V outlet. The mechanical control system allows the operator to set the production cycle; once running, the machine fills its internal cylinder, freezes the water, harvests the ice and deposits it into the separate storage container without further intervention. The operator monitors the container level and removes ice as needed, either by hand or with a scoop.
The KS150 is built with a stainless-steel exterior and uses refrigerant R290, which removes heat efficiently while keeping the unit compact. A water-cooling system is available as an option to maintain performance in warm environments. The footprint of 560 by 570 millimetres fits under most worktops or on a sturdy shelf, and the 74-kilogram weight allows two people to move it without a trolley.
The 0.92 kilowatt power rating means the unit draws about four amperes on a standard 230 V circuit, so it can share a ring with other light catering equipment. The 150-kilogram daily capacity supplies roughly one hundred fifty standard drink servings, making it suitable for bars, breakfast services and small event setups. The separate storage container lets the machine keep producing ice even when the container is nearly full, so the supply remains steady during peak demand.
Cleaning involves emptying the storage container, wiping the interior surfaces with a mild sanitiser, and checking the water inlet filter for debris. The mechanical controls require no calibration, and the refrigeration circuit is sealed, so routine upkeep focuses on keeping the water path clear and the exterior free of dust.
A water-cooled variant of the KS150 is available for environments where ambient temperatures could affect performance. The base model remains air-cooled and is listed in the catalogue under professional ice machines for bars and display use.
