The KS series ice makers, made entirely of stainless steel, stand out for their innovative mechanical design.
Cooling system - water or air
Granular ice
The KS150/60 produces ice just below freezing, holding some moisture to maintain its soft, malleable texture.
Water is drawn in, chilled on a refrigerated plate, and frozen in layers. A rotating blade then shaves the ice into the storage bin.
To use, connect the water supply and plug into a 230 V single-phase outlet. Adjust the mechanical controls to begin production; the machine operates until the 60 kg bin is full or power is cut. Once full, it pauses automatically, resuming only when ice levels drop.
The unit features a stainless steel exterior, selected for its strength and simple cleaning in high-traffic kitchens. It uses R290 refrigerant, which cools effectively while minimising environmental impact. An optional water-cooling system helps maintain performance in warm settings like terraces or outdoor bars.
Controls are straightforward: an on-off switch and a basic indicator showing whether the machine is active or the bin is full. No digital setup is needed, allowing staff to start or stop production instantly.
With a 0.92 kW rating, the machine draws modest current, fitting easily into standard kitchen circuits. Though its 91.5 kg weight requires two people for moving, its 736 × 670 mm base fits under most counters or against walls. The 150 kg daily output meets steady demand in bars and cafés, preventing shortages during busy periods.
Maintenance involves emptying the bin, wiping interior surfaces with mild sanitiser, and flushing the water system monthly to avoid scale. The stainless steel exterior can be cleaned with standard kitchen cleaners, and the refrigeration coils should be kept free of dust to ensure proper airflow.
A water-cooled version is available for environments with high temperatures or continuous outdoor use.
