18 gr solid cube ice maker
An under-counter ice cube maker that produces 20 kg of 18 g solid cubes every 24 hours, designed for continuous service behind the bar or in the kitchen.
The machine forms ice by spraying water in a fine film over a horizontally mounted copper evaporator. As the evaporator cools below freezing, the water crystallises into clear, dense cubes that hold their shape and chill drinks without dilution. This method yields pure, high-density ice that lasts longer in the glass or the well, keeping beverages at serving temperature for extended service.
Operation begins by connecting the water supply and power. The unit fills its reservoir, then cycles automatically: water is pumped over the evaporator, freezes, and once the cubes reach the set thickness the harvest cycle begins. A warm-gas defrost loosens the cubes, which slide into the storage bin below. The operator simply draws cubes as needed; the machine refills the bin without further intervention.
The entire cabinet is fabricated from stainless steel, including the evaporator housing, water distribution tray and storage bin. Adjustable feet raise or lower the unit by up to 20 mm, allowing it to sit level on uneven worktops or to align with adjacent under-counter refrigeration.
A single-phase 220-240 V, 50 Hz supply powers the compressor and pump. The voltage range matches standard UK commercial circuits, so the unit can be installed on the same ring as other bar equipment without requiring a dedicated line.
The 36 kg weight keeps the machine stable on the worktop while allowing two people to reposition it for cleaning or service. The footprint of 365 mm by 495 mm fits beneath most bar counters, leaving space for adjacent refrigeration or glass racks.
Daily upkeep involves emptying and wiping the storage bin, brushing any scale from the water distribution tray, and checking that the drain remains clear. The stainless steel surfaces are wiped with a damp cloth; no detergents are required beyond what is safe for food-grade stainless steel.
The GH20 W is offered in two variants: water-cooled for locations with a continuous water supply, and built-in for installations where air-cooling is preferred. Both share the same 20 kg daily capacity and 18 g cube size.
