Ice generator FORCAR GH20A

An ice cube maker that builds each cube by sprinkling water onto a chilled copper evaporator. The evaporator sits horizontally, cooling the water layer by layer until a solid, crystal-clear cube of high density is formed. This method produces cubes that melt slowly, keeping drinks chilled without dilution for extended service periods.

The operator fills the internal reservoir with fresh water, then selects the cycle. Water is pumped over the evaporator, freezing into 18 g cubes. Once the cube is complete, the evaporator briefly warms, releasing the cube into the storage bin below. The cycle repeats automatically until the bin is full or the water supply is exhausted.

The entire cabinet is stainless steel, including the water reservoir, evaporator housing and storage bin. Adjustable feet allow the unit to be levelled on uneven worktops, compensating for up to 20 mm of variation.

A single power switch controls the machine. When switched on, the unit runs continuously until the bin is full or the water runs out, at which point it pauses until the next cycle is initiated.

The 20 kg daily capacity means the machine can supply a steady stream of cubes for a medium-volume bar or café. The 450 W power rating draws a modest load from a standard 220-240 V, 50 Hz circuit, suitable for most commercial kitchens. At 36 kg, the unit can be moved by two staff without a trolley, and its 365x495x600 mm footprint fits neatly beneath a standard worktop or on a counter.

Cleaning involves emptying the bin, flushing the reservoir with fresh water, and wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth. The copper evaporator requires occasional descaling with a food-safe solution to maintain efficiency.
