The KP series ice makers are made entirely of stainless steel. They are top-class units within the Kastel range, equipped with the latest technology to ensure maximum efficiency and long-lasting performance.
Cooling system - water or air
Full ice cube 18 gr (33×30 mm)
An ice maker that produces dense, slow-melting cubes continuously for bars, restaurants and event services.
The machine draws water from its supply, chills it with a refrigeration circuit, and freezes it into individual cubes inside vertical evaporator cells. A timed harvest cycle releases the cubes into the storage container below, ready for immediate use. The refrigeration system runs on R290 refrigerant, which removes heat efficiently while keeping the cubes firm and clear.
To operate, connect the water inlet and drain, plug the unit into a 230 V socket, and switch on. The electronic control panel starts the production cycle automatically. Each cycle yields 64 cubes, which drop into the 40 kg container. When the container is full, the machine pauses production until cubes are removed, ensuring no overflow.
The cabinet is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for durability and ease of cleaning in busy kitchens. The exterior dimensions of 736 mm wide, 620 mm deep and 900 mm high allow it to fit beneath most worktops or against a wall. A net weight of 75 kg means two people can move it into position without specialised equipment.
Controls consist of an on/off switch and an electronic display that shows the current status. The display confirms when the container is full and when the next production cycle will begin. A water-cooled model is available for environments where ambient cooling is insufficient.
A daily capacity of 80 kg means the machine can supply a steady flow of cubes for a medium-sized bar or restaurant. The 40 kg storage container holds enough ice to cover peak demand without requiring constant attention. The 0.94 kW power rating indicates a moderate load on the electrical circuit, suitable for most commercial kitchens.
Cleaning involves emptying the container, wiping the interior surfaces with a damp cloth, and running a sanitising rinse cycle. The stainless steel finish resists staining and allows quick drying. The water filter should be checked and replaced periodically to maintain cube clarity and machine performance.
A water-cooled variant is offered for locations with higher ambient temperatures or limited air circulation.
The KP 80/40 is listed in the catalogue under professional refrigeration and ice production equipment.
