The KP series ice makers are made entirely of stainless steel. They are top-class units within the Kastel range, equipped with the latest technology to ensure maximum efficiency and long-lasting performance.

Each cycle forms cubes by freezing water in layers against a refrigerated grid, ensuring consistent shape and density. Once frozen, the cubes drop into a storage container below, ready for use in shakers or glasses.
Operation begins with filling the internal reservoir and selecting the desired programme via the electronic panel. A pump circulates water over the evaporator grid, and after freezing, a brief defrost cycle releases the cubes. The process repeats automatically until the 15 kg container is full, at which point the machine pauses until cubes are removed.
Constructed with a stainless-steel evaporator and an aluminium frame, the unit resists corrosion in busy environments. Powder-coated steel panels protect the exterior, while a hinged front door provides easy access for cleaning and maintenance.
The electronic control system allows adjustment of the freeze cycle duration and monitoring of the container's fill level. A power switch and indicator light ensure straightforward operation.
With a 0.57 kW power rating, the machine operates on a standard electrical supply. It runs on 230 V at 50 Hz, compatible with UK mains. The refrigerant, R290, is chosen for its efficiency and low environmental impact.
Weighing 47 kg, the unit can be positioned on a worktop or under a counter by two people. Its 500 mm width fits standard under-counter spaces, while the 600 mm depth accommodates plumbing connections. A water-cooled model is available for environments with higher cooling demands.
Maintenance involves emptying the storage container, wiping interior surfaces with a mild sanitiser, and rinsing the reservoir to prevent scale. The evaporator grid can be removed for periodic descaling.
The KP45/15-W/A is the water-cooled version of this model.
