The KP series ice makers are made entirely of stainless steel. They are top-class units within the Kastel range, equipped with the latest technology to ensure maximum efficiency and long-lasting performance.

Full ice cube 18 gr (33×30 mm)
An ice maker that delivers forty kilograms of dense, slow-melting cubes every twenty-four hours keeps drinks chilled without dilution. The KP40/15 draws water from the supply, circulates it over a refrigerated evaporator plate, and freezes it layer by layer into solid cubes. A timed harvest cycle warms the plate just enough to release the cubes into the storage container below, ready for the next service.
To start production, connect the water inlet and plug the unit into a 230 V single-phase circuit. The electronic control panel allows the operator to select the desired cube size and initiate a production cycle. Once the container reaches its fifteen-kilogram capacity—roughly eight hundred and thirty cubes—the machine pauses until ice is removed, preventing overfill and spillage.
The refrigeration circuit uses R290 refrigerant, which efficiently removes heat from the water without harming the environment. A water-cooling system is available as an option, helping the machine maintain performance in warm or poorly ventilated kitchens. The entire assembly is housed in a stainless-steel cabinet that stands on adjustable feet, allowing the unit to sit level on uneven worktops or tiled floors.
Controls are minimal: a power switch, a cycle-start button, and a digital display that shows the current status. The display also alerts the operator when the container is full or when a cleaning cycle is due, ensuring consistent ice quality and hygiene.
A daily output of forty kilograms means the machine can supply a busy bar or restaurant throughout service without running empty. The fifteen-kilogram storage container holds enough ice for peak demand, while the forty-five-kilogram weight allows two staff to move the unit into position without a trolley. The footprint of five hundred by six hundred millimetres fits neatly beside a sink or under a low shelf, making efficient use of limited floor space.
Cleaning involves removing the storage container and wiping the interior surfaces with a mild sanitiser. The evaporator plate and water distribution system require periodic descaling to prevent mineral build-up, which can be done with a manufacturer-approved cleaner. The exterior stainless steel resists fingerprints and spills, requiring only a damp cloth to keep it looking professional.
The KP40/15 is available with an optional water-cooling system for environments where ambient temperatures are high or ventilation is limited.
This model is listed in the KASTEL professional refrigeration catalogue under ice makers for bars, hotels and event catering.
