5 GN 1/1
A heated countertop of tempered glass keeps plated dishes at serving temperature without induction or open flames. Silicone adhesive heating elements bond directly beneath the glass, transferring warmth evenly across the surface. The digital thermostat regulates the temperature between 0 °C and 90 °C, allowing the unit to hold chilled desserts as well as hot entrées. Sandblasted graphics on the glass mark the heated zones so staff know exactly where to place each GN container without risk of uneven warming or cooling.
The operator lowers up to five GN 1/1 containers into the recessed top, then sets the desired temperature on the digital control. Once the thermostat reaches the target, the silicone elements maintain it steadily. The glass surface remains clear, letting customers see the food while the sneeze-guard—available in straight, inclined or fully enclosed versions—protects it from airborne particles. A removable display grid can be fitted for assisted service, and optional LED or halogen lighting highlights the dishes without adding heat to the food.
The countertop is built on a stainless-steel frame that supports the glass and houses the heating circuit. External dimensions of 1821 mm wide, 747 mm deep and 165 mm high allow it to drop into most worktops, while the top opening measures 1666 mm by 593 mm to accept the five GN containers. A 2.5 kW power draw runs on a standard 230 V single-phase circuit, and the 34 kg weight keeps the unit stable once installed. Optional spacers adapt the unit for deeper GN tanks, and a water-drain kit with cam fitting simplifies cleaning.
A digital thermostat controls the temperature, letting the kitchen programme the exact degree needed for each service. The 0–90 °C range covers everything from holding chilled salads to keeping sauces at serving temperature. The 2.5 kW rating reflects the load on the circuit; additional LED or halogen lighting increases this figure. The 34 kg weight means two people should move the unit, and the 1821 mm width requires a clear run of at least that length for installation.
Cleaning involves wiping the tempered glass with a damp cloth and mild detergent, while the stainless-steel frame can be sanitised with standard kitchen cleaners. The silicone heating elements are sealed beneath the glass and require no maintenance. If the optional water-drain kit is fitted, the cam fitting allows quick release of any standing water after service.
Variants include LED lighting, halogen heating lamps, combined halogen and LED, and three styles of tempered-glass sneeze-guard. The unit can also be ordered with spacers for GN tanks, a 60 Hz compressor, or a UK plug type G supplement.
