4 GN 1/1
A drop-in heating well keeps prepared dishes at serving temperature without moisture, using a static dry heating element that warms the air inside the well. The heated air circulates naturally around the GN containers, maintaining an even temperature across every portion. This dry method prevents condensation on the food, preserving texture and appearance for hours under a hot-holding lamp or display guard.
The operator slides up to four GN1/1 containers, each 150 mm deep, into the well. Side supports hold the pans in place while two adjustable dividers organise the space. A digital thermostat sets the temperature between 0 and 90 °C; once reached, the element cycles on and off to hold the setting. A drain tap at the base allows water and cleaning solution to run out after service.
The well is formed from stainless steel, with a removable grid that lifts out for cleaning. External panels are also stainless steel, and the unit fits into a worktop cut-out of 1496 by 747 mm. Optional tempered-glass sneeze-guards or closed displays mount on the public side, while LED or halogen lamps illuminate the food from above. Each lamp or LED array adds to the base 2 kW load, increasing the total power draw.
A 2 kW rating means the well draws about the same current as a commercial oven, so it connects to a dedicated 230 V circuit. The 34 kg weight allows two staff to lift it into place, and the 1341 by 592 mm well footprint matches standard GN1/1 containers, leaving no unused space between pans.
Cleaning involves removing the grid, wiping the stainless steel surfaces, and flushing the well through the drain tap. The digital thermostat and controls stay above the well rim, away from splashes.
Optional extras include straight or inclined single-sided sneeze-guards, fully enclosed glass displays for assisted service, a water drain kit with cam lock, and a UK plug supplement. LED lighting, halogen heating lamps, or a combination of both can be added to the stainless steel structure.
