A flow heater keeps mulled wine at serving temperature without a bulk tank. The unit draws cold or pre-warmed wine from a container, heats it as it passes through an internal coil, and dispenses it directly into cups or jugs. This method avoids overheating the batch, preserves flavour and aroma, and allows continuous service during peak demand.
The operator connects a feed line to the inlet, sets the thermostat between 35 °C and 85 °C, and starts the pump. Wine flows through the coil, where an electric element raises its temperature to the chosen level. The heated wine emerges at the tap ready to serve. A three-phase 400 V supply powers the element and pump, so the unit must be installed on a dedicated circuit in the kitchen.
The Hot Point II is built as a freestanding stainless-steel cabinet on lockable castors. The 292 mm depth and 520 mm width fit under most worktops, while the 465 mm height clears standard cupboard undersides. The 30 kg weight allows two staff to wheel the unit into position without lifting equipment.
A single rotary thermostat controls the output temperature. The 100 L/h capacity matches the throughput of a busy bar or catering stand, ensuring a steady stream of warm wine without long queues.
Cleaning follows the flow path: disconnect the feed line, flush the coil with warm water, then run a food-safe descaling solution through the system at regular intervals to prevent mineral build-up. The stainless-steel exterior wipes clean with a damp cloth.
The Hot Point II is listed in the Neumarker beverage equipment catalogue under continuous-flow heaters.
