A heated buffet plate keeps prepared dishes at serving temperature without further cooking. The unit uses an electric element beneath a flat surface to generate gentle, even heat. This method prevents food from cooling while it sits on the counter, maintaining texture, flavour and food safety standards. The heat is distributed across the entire surface, so multiple dishes can be held at once without hot spots or uneven warming.
To use the Casselin CPCB, place the unit on a stable worktop near a 230 V supply. Load the dishes onto the tempered glass heating surface, ensuring they are in heat-resistant containers. Set the adjustable thermostat to the desired temperature, up to 90 °C, and switch the unit on. The heating indicator light confirms the element is active. A separate tray beneath the glass holds service utensils, keeping them within reach during service. Once the meal is complete, switch off the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning.
The CPCB is built from epoxy-painted steel for durability in a busy kitchen. The heating surface and protective glass are both tempered for strength and resistance to thermal shock. An adjustable thermostat controls the temperature, while the indicator light provides a quick visual check that the unit is operational.
The 0.45 kW power rating means the unit draws a modest load, suitable for a standard 230 V circuit without overloading other equipment. The 90 °C maximum temperature is designed for warm holding, not reheating or cooking, so it keeps dishes at safe serving temperatures without drying them out. The 24 kg weight allows the unit to be moved with a trolley but remains stable on a worktop during service. The 850 mm width provides ample space for multiple dishes, while the 505 mm depth fits neatly on most counters.
Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the tempered glass surface with a damp cloth once it has cooled. The epoxy-painted steel body can be cleaned with a mild detergent, avoiding abrasive pads that could damage the finish. The utensil tray lifts out for separate cleaning.
The CPCB is a single model with no variants. It is designed for professional catering environments where warm holding is required during service, such as buffets, banqueting or self-service counters.
The product is listed in the catering equipment catalogue under heated holding and buffet service appliances.
