A hose tie secures the flexible water supply lines that feed professional dishwashers, glasswashers and utensil-washing machines. Without a firm grip, the constant pressure of incoming water can loosen the hose, causing leaks or interruptions in the wash cycle. The tie clamps around the hose and the appliance's inlet fitting, holding the connection tight against vibration and water hammer.

To fit the tie, the operator slides the open band around the hose and positions it over the barbed or threaded inlet. The screw mechanism is then tightened until the hose cannot be pulled off by hand.
