A new version of hood dishwasher that will clean dishes efficiently without leaving any residue
A hood dishwasher clears tables by lifting the front panel to create a sealed washing chamber. Hot water sprays from rotating arms above and below the racks, removing food and grease with mechanical force and detergent. The hood's weight drives the spring-loaded system, so the operator lowers it gently to start the cycle and lifts it to unload clean dishes without manual latches or buttons.
The FORCAR LAPI50CPLN follows this principle with a 20-litre chamber that holds a 50×50 cm glass basket, a matching dish basket for 12 to 18 place settings, and a separate spoon basket. Closing the hood triggers the automatic start; opening it stops the cycle and allows steam to escape, so dishes can be removed immediately. Four preset programmes adapt the wash time and water temperature to the load—glasses, plates, pots or a mixed service—while the energy-saving function reduces power when the machine is idle between cycles.
Operation begins by loading the baskets on the open hood, adding rinse aid via the electric dispenser, and lowering the hood until it clicks into place. The multi-colour start button lights to confirm the cycle selection, and the 6-character LED display counts down the remaining time. A thermostatic valve prevents cold water from entering the rinse phase, ensuring dishes dry spot-free. At the end of service, the self-cleaning cycle flushes the interior, and the self-diagnosis system alerts the operator to any blockages or faults via the display.
The entire cabinet is constructed from stainless steel, including the surface filter and anti-reflux valve, while the washing and rinsing arms are made of composite material for easy removal and cleaning. A 2-metre water inlet hose and a 2.5-metre drain hose are supplied, allowing flexible installation under a worktop or against a wall.
The 8.95 kW power rating requires a three-phase 380-415 V supply, typical for commercial kitchens with heavy equipment. The 81.5 kg weight means the unit is moved on a trolley or with two people, while the 703×757 mm footprint fits standard worktop depths and leaves room for adjacent prep areas. The 1494 mm height clears most overhead cupboards when the hood is raised.
Daily upkeep involves removing the composite arms to clear food debris, wiping the stainless steel filter, and running the self-cleaning cycle. The adjustable rinse aid dispenser is refilled as needed, and the drain pump prevents standing water between uses.
The LAPI50CPLN is supplied with two 50×50 cm baskets, a spoon basket, inlet and drain hoses, and all necessary fittings for immediate installation in a professional kitchen.
