A ceramic stove hob heats by passing electric current through coiled elements beneath a smooth glass surface. The elements glow red, radiating heat directly into the base of pots and pans. Because the glass itself does not absorb much heat, the hob responds quickly when the power level is changed, giving precise control over simmering, boiling and frying without hot spots or uneven cooking.

The HOC60F offers four cooking zones: one 20 cm circle, two 16.5 cm circles, and one expandable dual zone that switches between 14 cm and 23 cm. The operator places a pan on the chosen zone, selects the zone with the touch control, and sets one of nine power levels. A timer can be programmed for up to 99 minutes; when the time elapses, the zone switches off automatically. A residual heat indicator lights on any zone that remains hot after use, while a child lock prevents accidental changes to the settings.

The hob is constructed as a single sheet of toughened ceramic glass with straight edges, allowing it to be flush-mounted into a worktop. The underside carries the heating elements, wiring and control electronics, all housed in a stainless-steel tray. Touch-sensitive pads on the front edge adjust power and activate the timer, child lock and residual heat display.

A total power rating of 7 kW means the hob requires a dedicated circuit capable of supplying that load continuously. The voltage specification of 230/400 V allows the unit to be connected to either a single-phase 230 V supply or a three-phase 400 V supply, depending on the kitchen's electrical installation. The 590 mm width and 520 mm depth determine the cut-out size needed in the worktop; the 71 mm height sets the depth of the cupboard below. At 7.4 kg, the hob can be lifted and positioned by one person during installation.

Cleaning is limited to wiping the glass surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent; the smooth ceramic does not trap food or grease. The touch controls are sealed beneath the glass, so no moisture enters the electronics. After cleaning, the hob is ready for immediate use.
