This ceramic stove hob operates by directing electric current through coiled elements under a smooth glass-ceramic surface. The elements heat up, transferring warmth directly to the base of pans. The flat surface ensures even heat distribution across each cooking zone, avoiding uneven temperatures and enabling accurate control. The material conducts heat upward but not sideways, keeping adjacent zones cool and conserving energy by heating only the areas in use.

The K 61 features four cooking zones—two at 20 cm and two at 16.5 cm. Activate a zone by touching its control, with a digital display showing the selected power level. Adjust the heat with a simple tap. Set a timer for up to 99 minutes per zone; once the time ends, the zone switches off automatically and an alert sounds. After cooking, a residual heat indicator remains lit on any zone still hot, ensuring safety until the surface cools. A child lock prevents unintended adjustments or activation during operation.

Constructed from a single sheet of toughened glass-ceramic, the hob is bonded to a pressed-steel frame. The frame's straight edges allow for a neat fit into a worktop cut-out measuring 590 mm by 520 mm. Beneath the ceramic surface lie four heating elements, each sized to match its zone. The touch control panel, located at the front, includes LED indicators for power levels, timers, and residual heat.

With a power rating of 6.0 kW, the hob requires connection to a suitable circuit. It weighs 8.6 kg, making it manageable for two people to install. The 55 mm height provides space beneath for wiring or pipes if needed.
