Heating element LF L5068205

A heating element converts electrical energy into heat by passing current through a resistive coil. The coil glows red-hot and radiates heat into the surrounding air or directly onto food. In convection ovens, the element works with a fan that circulates the hot air, ensuring even cooking across every shelf. In kitchen ranges, the element forms part of the hob or grill and provides the direct heat needed for grilling, frying or boiling.

To install, the operator first isolates the appliance from the mains. The old element is removed by unscrewing its retaining nuts and disconnecting the wiring. The new LF element is positioned so its 70 mm by 22 mm flange aligns with the mounting bracket. The retaining nuts are tightened, the wiring reconnected, and the appliance is restored to power. Once switched on, the element reaches operating temperature within minutes and maintains it while the appliance is in use.

The element is constructed as a sealed coil inside a protective sheath. The flange is pressed from corrosion-resistant steel and provides the mechanical fixing to the appliance. A 230 V supply is required, matching the standard single-phase circuit found in professional kitchens. The 4000 W rating indicates the load the element places on the circuit; this must be within the capacity of the fuse or breaker protecting the line.

Cleaning is limited to wiping the exterior sheath with a damp cloth once the element has cooled. No water should enter the electrical connections, and no abrasive cleaners should be used on the flange or coil.
