A heating element generates the heat that turns an electric oven into a cooking chamber. Inside the element, an electrical resistance wire converts current into heat, which radiates outward to warm the air or produce steam. In convection ovens the heated air is circulated by a fan, spreading heat evenly across every shelf; in steam ovens the element heats a water reservoir, creating the steam that cooks without drying. The element's wattage determines how quickly the oven can reach and hold the set temperature, and its shape ensures it fits the oven's heating circuit without obstructing airflow or steam flow.
To install the element, the oven is first switched off and isolated from the mains. The old element is removed by disconnecting its terminals and unscrewing any retaining clips. The new LF element is positioned so its terminals align with the oven's connectors, then secured with the same clips. Once the electrical connections are remade and checked, the oven is restored to power and a test cycle confirms the element reaches the expected temperature.
The element is a coiled resistance wire encased in a stainless-steel tube. Two internal diameters are provided—203 mm and 185 mm—so a single part number fits multiple oven models. The 3.3 kW power rating matches the original specification, ensuring the oven regains its full heating capacity. A 230 V supply is required, which corresponds to the standard single-phase circuit found in most professional kitchens.
This element is a direct replacement for Garbin convection ovens 43 P UMI, 43 PE, PRO 523M, SUPERIORE D and SUPERIORE M, and for Garbin steam ovens 25 EX, 25 GL and 43 SE.
