A heating element transfers energy directly into water by electrical resistance. When current passes through the coiled wire, the wire heats and the surrounding water absorbs that heat, raising its temperature to the point needed for brewing espresso. The element is immersed in the boiler, so the heat moves straight into the water without warming the air or the machine body first. This method gives fast, consistent temperature control and avoids wasted energy.

To install, the operator isolates the machine from the mains, drains the boiler, removes the old element and fits the new one with its gasket. The six-pole connection is then secured, the boiler refilled and the machine switched back on. The element draws current as soon as the thermostat calls for heat, so the water temperature climbs within minutes.

The element is constructed from a coiled resistance wire sealed inside a corrosion-resistant metal sheath. The 180 mm immersed length matches the depth of the boiler in the listed models, ensuring the entire coil stays below the water line. A 220 V supply is standard for commercial catering circuits in the UK, so the element connects to the same circuit that powers the rest of the machine.

The 1.8 kW power rating indicates the load the element places on the electrical supply. In a working kitchen this load is already accounted for in the circuit design, but it should not be added to an existing circuit without checking the total demand.

Cleaning is limited to descaling the boiler at regular intervals; the element itself has no moving parts and requires no maintenance beyond ensuring it remains fully immersed during operation.

This element is a direct replacement for the original part in the following models: Cimbali M15, M20, M21JUNIOR, M22, M25, M-25-LEADER, M27, M-27-BASIC, M28, M29, M30, M30-BISTRO, M31, M31-COMPACT, M32; Faema E98 COMPACT, E98 LEVA; Faema X54 superautomatic coffee machine.

The product is listed in the catalogue under Coffee Machine Spares – Heating Elements.
