A heating element converts electrical energy into heat, raising the temperature of oil, water or air in professional catering appliances. Inside the unit, a coiled resistance wire glows when current passes through it, transferring heat directly to the surrounding medium. This method provides rapid, even heating without open flames, making it essential for fryers, boilers and heated holding cabinets where precise temperature control keeps food safe and consistent.
To install, the operator disconnects the appliance from the power supply, removes the access panel, and unclips or unscrews the old element. The new LF element is seated in the same position, secured with the original fixings, and the electrical connections are reattached. Once the panel is replaced and the appliance is reconnected, the element draws 230 V single-phase power, delivering the full 5000 W load to restore the appliance's heating capacity.
The element is designed as a direct replacement for PIRON equipment, ensuring compatibility with the original mounting points and electrical ratings. Its construction suits the demands of commercial kitchens, where frequent heating cycles and high temperatures require durable components that maintain performance over time.
Cleaning is limited to external inspection for signs of corrosion or damage, as the element itself is sealed and not user-serviceable. Regular checks of the appliance's thermostat and safety cut-outs help prevent overheating and extend the element's service life.
This part fits specified PIRON models only. Consult the appliance's manual or parts diagram to confirm compatibility before ordering.
