A transparent acrylic tray in standard GN 1/5 size holds cold or ambient food at the counter while showing every colour and texture to customers. The material, acrylic, gives the clarity of glass without the weight or the risk of breakage, so staff can move and restock the display quickly and safely.

The tray sits on a refrigerated or ambient counter and is filled with prepared food. Its low sides keep the contents visible from above and from the side, making it easier for customers to see and choose items without handling them. Because acrylic conducts heat poorly, the tray does not chill or warm the food it holds; it simply presents it at the temperature the counter maintains. The smooth, non-porous surface does not absorb moisture or odours, so each tray stays clean and ready for the next product.

To use, the operator places the tray on the counter, fills it with food, and slides it into position. When the display is refreshed, the tray lifts out, is wiped or washed, and is returned to service. The acrylic withstands temperatures from deep-freeze to hot holding, so the same tray can move from a blast chiller to a heated counter without damage.

Construction is a single piece of acrylic, cut and polished to the GN 1/5 footprint. The edges are rounded for safety and to prevent chipping. The material is lightweight, so a full tray is easy to lift, and stackable, so empty trays take little space in storage. It is also fully recyclable and free from BPA and PFAS, meeting current food-safety standards.

The tray measures 265 mm long, 200 mm wide and 40 mm high, fitting counters with an 80 cm depth. It is supplied in boxes of five, making it simple to order and store.

In a professional kitchen, the tray is used wherever food is displayed: supermarket deli counters, butcher shops, bakeries, fish retailers and catering buffets. Its standard GN size integrates with existing serving systems and gastronorm trolleys.
