A transparent acrylic container in GN 1/4 size holds food while letting its colours and textures show through without distortion. The material, Plexiglass, is a solid acrylic sheet that transmits light almost as clearly as glass but weighs far less and resists shattering. This optical clarity keeps the food looking fresh and appetising under display lighting, whether the tray sits on a refrigerated counter, a heated buffet or a room-temperature deli shelf.

The tray rests on the counter and is filled directly with salads, desserts, sliced meats, seafood or baked goods. Its smooth, non-porous surface prevents food from sticking and allows the operator to wipe or rinse it clean in seconds. Because the acrylic is solid and free of pores, bacteria cannot lodge inside the material, so hygiene standards stay high even after repeated use. The tray's edges are rounded to avoid sharp corners, making it safe to handle and stack.

To use the tray, the operator places it on the counter, fills it with prepared food, and positions it under the display lights. When the service is over, the tray is lifted off, emptied, and washed with warm water and mild detergent. The acrylic surface dries quickly and does not absorb odours, so the tray is ready for the next service without lingering smells or stains. Five identical trays stack neatly inside each other, saving space in storage cupboards and transport boxes.

The tray is made from black Plexiglass, an acrylic that is fully recyclable and free from BPA and PFAS. It withstands temperatures from -20 °C to +80 °C, so it can move from a freezer to a hot display without cracking or warping. Its footprint of 265 mm by 162 mm fits counters with an 80 cm depth, matching standard gastronorm shelving and refrigerated units used in supermarkets, butchers, bakeries and fish retailers.

Each tray measures 80 mm high, giving enough volume for generous portions without crowding the food. The lightweight construction means a full tray can be lifted with one hand, reducing strain during busy service periods. The black colour provides a neutral background that makes bright foods stand out, while the transparent sides let customers see the product from all angles.
