A mobile rack organises twelve full-size gastronorm trays in a single column, ready for transport between prep areas, ovens, chillers and service stations. The unit stands on castors so staff can wheel it without lifting, keeping trays level and secure while moving through doorways and tight corridors.
Each shelf is sized for GN2/1 trays 530 by 650 millimetres, the standard that fits combi-ovens, bain-maries and refrigerated counters. The shelves are fixed at equal intervals, creating a vertical stack that maximises floor space and keeps trays accessible without bending or reaching above shoulder height.
The operator loads each shelf from the front, sliding trays in until they rest against the rear stop. Once all twelve positions are filled, the trolley is pushed to its destination; the trays remain stable during transit because the frame prevents lateral movement. At the destination, trays are removed in the same order, front to back, maintaining workflow continuity.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, chosen for hygiene and resistance to corrosion in humid kitchen environments. The frame is welded for rigidity, and the castors are fitted with brakes to hold the trolley stationary when loading or unloading.
The footprint of 590 by 650 millimetres fits through standard kitchen doorways and alongside worktops without obstructing walkways. The overall height of 1707 millimetres keeps the top shelf within reach for most operators, while the twelve-shelf capacity matches the batch size of many professional ovens and chillers.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the shelves and frame with a damp cloth; the absence of moving parts or electrical components simplifies daily upkeep.
