16 GN 1/1
A mobile rack designed to hold and transport gastronorm trays securely through a professional kitchen. The trolley uses C-shaped guides that slot into the flanges of GN 1/1 trays, preventing them from sliding during movement and allowing quick loading and unloading without lifting. Four swivel castors let the unit turn within its own footprint, so it can be positioned close to worktops, ovens or chillers without needing extra clearance.
The trolley's frame is built from AISI 304 stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in wet or acidic environments. Non-marking bumpers on each corner protect walls and equipment from scuffs when the trolley is manoeuvred in tight spaces. An optional kit adds two castors with brakes, locking the trolley in place during loading or when it must remain stationary near a workstation.
Loading is straightforward: each GN 1/1 tray is slid horizontally into the C-shaped guides until it rests against the previous tray or the end stop. The guides are spaced to accept sixteen trays stacked vertically, so the full capacity is reached without overhang. Once loaded, the trolley can be wheeled to the next station, where trays are removed in reverse order. The open design allows air to circulate around each tray, helping to maintain even temperatures during transport.
The overall dimensions of 612 mm wide by 447 mm deep give a compact footprint that fits through standard kitchen doorways and alongside worktops. The 1603 mm height allows trays to be stored at a comfortable working level, reducing the need to bend or reach. At 26 kg the trolley is light enough to be moved by one person when empty, yet the stainless-steel construction keeps it stable when fully loaded.
Cleaning is limited to wiping down the frame and guides with a damp cloth and mild detergent; the smooth surfaces and absence of crevices prevent food debris from accumulating. The castors can be removed for separate cleaning if required, and the optional brake kit is designed to be fitted without tools once the standard castors are in place.
Optional modifications include the addition of two castors with brakes, which can be specified at the time of order.
