A clear glass disc forms the protective window for the oven lamp receptacle in professional catering ovens. The lamp sits behind it, shining light into the oven cavity so the chef can watch the bake without opening the door and losing heat. The glass must withstand the oven's working temperature and resist thermal shock when the door is opened or closed.
The receptacle holds the glass in place around the lamp. When the lamp burns out, the glass stays in the door; when the glass breaks or clouds, it is replaced separately. The 42 mm diameter matches the standard opening in the oven door or side panel of the listed models.
To replace the glass, the oven is switched off and allowed to cool. The old glass is removed from the receptacle, taking care not to touch the lamp contacts. The new glass is pressed into the metal ring until it clicks into place. The oven is then ready to be switched back on.
The glass is made of tempered borosilicate, chosen for its ability to endure repeated heating and cooling without cracking. It is transparent and colourless, so the light passes through without tinting or dimming.
This spare part fits a wide range of professional ovens and kitchen equipment from COVEN, CUPPONE, GARBIN, TECNOEKA, TORNATI FORNI and UNOX. The list of compatible models is printed in the catalogue under oven spares, lamp components.
