An oven lamp receptacle holds the glass that shields the internal light bulb from heat, grease and steam while allowing a clear view of the oven chamber. The glass sits in a metal ring or frame, forming a sealed barrier that protects the bulb and wiring from the high temperatures and moisture inside the oven. Without this barrier, the bulb would fail quickly, leaving the oven interior dark and making it difficult to monitor cooking progress.
To replace the glass, the oven must be switched off and allowed to cool completely. The operator removes the retaining ring or clips that secure the glass in place, lifts out the old glass, and cleans the seating area to remove any residue. The new glass is placed into the receptacle, ensuring it sits evenly, and the retaining ring or clips are refitted to hold it firmly. Once secured, the oven can be switched back on and the lamp tested to confirm the glass is correctly positioned and the light is visible.
This LF glass is manufactured to a 57 mm diameter, matching the standard size used in the lamp receptacles of professional ovens. It is designed to withstand the repeated thermal cycling of oven operation without cracking or clouding, maintaining a clear view of the chamber throughout its service life.
The glass fits a wide range of convection, electric and pizza ovens from BERTO'S, FIMAR, FOINOX, ITALFORNI and OEM. Compatible models include BERTO'S WAVE and FPG series, FIMAR FYL ovens, FOINOX FC and FE models, ITALFORNI EURO CLASSIC ovens, and OEM MB, DM, DS, MM and S series.
Cleaning is straightforward: the glass can be wiped with a damp cloth once the oven has cooled, avoiding abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface. For stubborn deposits, a mild detergent may be used, but harsh chemicals or scouring pads should be avoided to prevent damage to the glass.
