A gasket in a commercial dishwasher seals the joint between the pump housing and the main body, preventing water leaks that could disrupt the wash cycle or damage the motor. In these machines, the pump circulates heated water at pressure through the spray arms; any gap around the housing would let water escape, reducing pressure and leaving dishes poorly cleaned. The gasket is compressed when the housing is bolted down, creating a watertight barrier that lasts through repeated heating and cooling cycles.
To replace the gasket, the operator first isolates the machine from the power and water supply. The pump housing cover is unbolted and lifted away, exposing the old gasket. The seating surface is cleaned of any debris or scale, then the new gasket is positioned in the groove. The cover is refitted and the bolts tightened evenly to ensure even compression around the entire seal. Once the water and power are reconnected, a short test cycle confirms the seal is leak-free.
This LF gasket is manufactured as a direct replacement for the original part, matching the dimensions and material properties required by HILTA and IME OMNIWASH dishwashers. It fits a range of under-counter and hood-type models, including the HILTA S41, S42MA, W13 and W14 series, and the IME OMNIWASH 4K50, J50, MASTER 50 and OMPD500 ranges, as well as selected glasswashers in the OMBD500 and OMBG500 lines.
The part is listed in the catalogue under dishwasher spares and accessories, specifically for pump maintenance.
