An overhead infrared heat lamp that warms plated food without taking up counter or worktop space. The HELIOS air P3 is suspended from the ceiling, directing radiant heat downward to keep dishes at serving temperature while the kitchen continues service beneath it.

Infrared heat lamps emit electromagnetic waves that travel through the air and are absorbed by the surface of the food, raising its temperature without drying it out. Because the heat is radiant rather than convected, there is no fan or moving air, so the food stays moist and the kitchen remains free of additional heat and noise. The lamp itself is shielded by a metal shade, which focuses the heat onto the plates below and prevents glare from reaching the eyes of staff or customers.

The lamp is hung from a ceiling hook using a metal ring, and the height can be adjusted between 850 mm and 1750 mm above the work surface. A retractable cable with a tensioning system keeps the cord taut and tidy at any height. An independent switch on the cable allows the operator to turn the lamp on or off without reaching the ceiling, so the heat can be controlled plate by plate as service progresses.

The unit arrives ready to install: the lamp holder is pre-wired, the cable is retractable, and the shade is available in five finishes—chromed, brassed, copper, black nickel or matte black—to match the kitchen's existing fixtures. The lamp itself can be specified in either white or red infrared, depending on the desired light colour and heat output.

The shade is 310 mm in diameter and the lamp holder is 281 mm tall, giving the unit a compact footprint that does not obstruct overhead lighting or ventilation. The entire assembly weighs 2 kg, so it can be hung from standard ceiling hooks without additional support. The power rating of 0.25 kW means it can be plugged into a standard 230 V, 50 Hz circuit without overloading the supply.

Cleaning is limited to the shade and lamp holder. The shade can be wiped with a damp cloth to remove dust or grease splashes, and the lamp holder can be dusted with a soft brush. The retractable cable should be kept free of kinks and stored fully retracted when not in use to prevent damage.
