A warming marmite keeps bulk portions of soups, stews, gravies and sauces at serving temperature without scorching or drying. Two heating elements—one above the food and one below—circulate gentle warmth through the stainless-steel vat. The upper element radiates heat downward while the lower element conducts it upward, creating an even envelope of warmth that prevents hot spots and keeps every portion ready for ladling.
The operator slides the perforated plate into the vat, fills it with the prepared food, and sets the desired temperature with the high/low buttons. Once the marmite reaches the set point, the quartz resistance maintains it automatically. A French-fry scoop and a dedicated box holder are fitted on the side, allowing staff to portion directly from the pass-through station without reaching across hot surfaces.
The exterior is fabricated from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. Both heating elements are quartz, which responds quickly to temperature changes and distributes heat evenly across the entire surface. The perforated plate can be lifted out for thorough cleaning or to switch between different food types.
Controls are limited to two push-buttons: one for high heat and one for low. These set the power level to the quartz elements, giving the operator control over the rate of warming and the final holding temperature up to 75 °C.
A 1.5 kW rating indicates the load on the electrical circuit; the unit must be connected to a dedicated 230 V supply capable of handling the current. The 662 × 965 mm footprint fits standard pass-through counters, while the 33 kg weight allows two staff to reposition it safely when the kitchen layout changes.
After service, the perforated plate is removed and washed separately. The interior and exterior surfaces are wiped down with a damp cloth and a mild detergent, then dried to prevent water marks. The quartz elements require no maintenance beyond occasional dusting with a soft brush.
The French-fry scoop and box holder are included as standard; no additional accessories are supplied.
