Flat EPDM gasket LF L1186316

A flat EPDM gasket creates a tight seal between the portafilter and the group head of a professional coffee machine. The ring presses evenly around the rim, preventing water from leaking past the coffee puck during extraction. Without this seal, pressure drops, the shot runs unevenly and crema is lost.

The operator places the gasket into the groove on the group head, ensuring the flat side faces outward. Once seated, the portafilter locks in, compressing the rubber just enough to form a watertight barrier. Over time the material softens slightly, so the gasket is checked and replaced when it no longer holds the portafilter firmly or when water begins to seep around the edges.

Made from EPDM rubber, the gasket resists the constant heat and moisture of a busy espresso station. The material does not absorb coffee oils, so it stays pliable and does not become brittle or sticky.

This 15 mm diameter gasket fits the specified models of ASTORIA CMA, BRUGNETTI-AURORA, LAVAZZA and WEGA coffee and vending machines. Each pack contains sixty gaskets, allowing for routine replacement across multiple stations.

Cleaning follows from the material: wipe the gasket with a damp cloth after each use to remove coffee grounds and oils. Do not use solvents or abrasives, as these degrade the rubber.
