This flat copper gasket forms a secure seal between the group head and portafilter in professional espresso machines. The ring sits between two solid surfaces, compressing slightly when the portafilter is tightened to prevent water leaks around the coffee puck. A missing or worn seal leads to pressure loss, poor extraction and uneven shot flow.

To install, remove the old gasket using a flat tool. Place the new ring into the group head groove, ensuring it sits evenly and centrally. Reattach the portafilter and tighten until the handle locks, compressing the copper ring into position. The machine can then generate the required pressure for espresso.

The gasket measures 16 mm across the outside, 12 mm inside and is 1.5 mm thick, manufactured from copper. Copper provides even heat distribution and deforms reliably under pressure, maintaining a consistent seal through repeated use.

This 16x12x1.5 mm size is designed for group heads on specific models from Ariete, Gaggia, Italcrem, Mairali and Visacrem coffee machines.
