To use the gasket, first remove the old one from the portafilter by prising it out with a small tool. Clean the groove thoroughly to remove any coffee residue or old sealant. Press the new gasket into the groove, ensuring it lies flat and even all the way round. Reattach the portafilter to the machine and run a short flush to check for leaks. If water sprays from the sides, the gasket may not be seated correctly or may be damaged.
